The Track & Field Academy’s Strength & Conditioning Certification Course is an accredited, detailed course covering all aspects of strength training and other key athletic qualities. The course provides an opportunity for Track & Field Coaches to become certified in this area and meet NCAA certification requirements, or for Strength & Conditioning Coaches who desire more advanced knowledge in the development of specific programs for Track and Field and Cross Country

About the Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification Course.  The Track and Field Academy’s Strength & Conditioning Coach Certification  (course 310) is a detailed course covering all aspects of strength training, and other key athletic qualities. Successful completion of the course and its evaluations grants the Track & Field Academy’s Strength & Conditioning Certification. The course is applicable to all levels of coaching. The TFA also offers and Advanced Endorsement to the certification, designed to meet NCAA requirements for Strength and Conditioning Coaches.

Dates and Times:   2:30 PM Friday July 14, 2017 to 1:00 PM July 16, 2017.

Course Site:  Loyola University, 1032 W. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, IL 60660

Tuition:  Course Tuition is $245

Event Specific Specialist Courses.  The Strength and Conditioning course will follow the TFA's usual summer offering of Event Specific Specialist Courses .  This allows students to enroll in both courses during their stay in Chicago. Students are welcome to enroll in an Event Specific Specialist Course in addition to the Strength and Conditioning Course, and Room and Board plans are available that cover either or both courses.

Travel.  Students are responsible for their own transportation to Chicago and the Loyola campus. Note when booking air travel that travel times from Loyola University to O’Hare and Midway Airports range from 30 minutes to one hour.

Arrival and Departure – Strength and Conditioning Course.  Students taking only the Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification Course (310) should plan for on-campus arrival before 12:00 PM on Friday, July 14.  Specialist Course students should plan to depart after 12:30 PM Friday, July 16.  No exceptions will be made.
